Terms of Service for Haro

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Haro Discord application ("Haro", "the application"). By using Haro's commands, or by participating in a Discord server in which Haro is installed, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

2. Description of the Service

Haro is a community-management application for Discord servers that play Gundam Evolution on community-operated game infrastructure. It provides slash commands for viewing live custom match rooms, player records and queue status; role-restricted commands allowing designated staff to configure match rooms and grant in-game items; automatic mirroring of active in-game rooms as Discord voice channels; and automated anti-bot moderation. Haro is provided free of charge.

3. Eligibility

You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement, and comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, in order to use Haro.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use Haro to harass, abuse, impersonate or harm any other person;
  • attempt to circumvent the role-based permission checks that restrict certain commands to designated staff;
  • automate, script, flood or otherwise abuse Haro's commands in a way that degrades the service for others;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to Haro, to the game infrastructure it communicates with, or to any related system;
  • use Haro for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of Discord's Terms of Service.

5. Automated Moderation

Servers running Haro may operate a "honeypot" channel intended to detect automated spam accounts. It carries a pinned notice warning members not to post in it. Any account posting there will be removed from the server automatically and its recent messages deleted. This removal is a kick, not a ban: you may rejoin using the invite sent to you. If you were removed in error, contact the server's moderators, who review every such action.

6. Restricted Commands

Certain commands, including those that alter match room configuration or grant in-game items, are limited to holders of specific server roles. Granting or revoking those roles is at the sole discretion of the server's administrators. We may revoke access to any command, for any user, at any time.

7. Availability

Haro is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, and we may modify, suspend or discontinue it, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. Information Haro reports about game rooms, queues and players is provided for convenience and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, Haro.

9. No Affiliation

Haro is an unofficial, fan-operated tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Blizzard Entertainment, or any other rights holder in Gundam Evolution or the Gundam franchise, nor by Discord Inc. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

10. Privacy

Our handling of your data is described in the Haro Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Haro at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that breaches these Terms or that we consider harmful to other users or to the service. You may stop using Haro at any time. Server administrators may remove Haro from their server at any time.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will announce them in the servers where Haro is installed and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Haro after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
